About this site

Backend and full-stack work, mostly on the PHP side: WordPress and WooCommerce themes and plugins, licensing and subscription billing, the MySQL underneath it, and whatever Python is needed to keep the boring parts automated.

This site is a notebook. Posts get written when something took long enough to be worth writing down, which is roughly every couple of months. There is no schedule and no newsletter.

Tools I keep coming back to

PhpStorm, because the WordPress hook autocompletion pays for itself
Plain mysqldump plus a cron entry, because clever backup tooling fails silently
Docker for local environments only — production stays boring on purpose
A single shell script per project that sets everything up from scratch
